FAQs

  • ACG Mental Performance is the first national athletic mental performance platform that is 100% online. We provide private, personalized coaching so student athletes can gain a competitive edge through improving their approach, confidence, grit and other aspects of mental performance, enabling them to better deal with adversity and excel on the field and in life.

  • After you sign up, we will meet with your family to understand your needs and provide a coach who fits their objectives and preferences and understands the type of challenges they are experiencing.

  • All of our coaches are trained and experienced athletic mental performance counselors. Coaches must have a bachelor's degree in a related field, and at least 3 years of experience working in the field of athletic mental performance coaching. They also must be a former or current athlete, complete our in-house training program and pass an extensive background check. Our current coaching team all hold a master's degree or higher.

  • We have found that we are typically able to select a well-suited coach. However, if you start the process and you feel your coach isn't a good fit for you, you may choose to be moved to a different coach.

  • ACG Mental Performance has four unique programs with each session costing about the price of a private lesson in their respective sport. Please see our program descriptions and pricing here.

  • If you are unsure about which program to choose, please contact us. We will discuss your student athlete's specific needs and provide you with the right guidance and information to make the best decision. We want to be very collaborative in helping you decide what is right for your student athlete. Zero pressure.

  • Once you choose a program, you will choose a date/time to have an initial consultation with one of our lead coaches in as quickly as one day. This consultation is for both athletes and parents. From there you are assigned a coach and you can schedule your student athlete to begin their recurring weekly sessions right away at a time that works for their schedule. The sessions are 45 minutes long and there are 3-week and 8-week programs, as well as ongoing mental performance coaching.

  • You can easily reschedule any of your sessions through our online portal, or with a coach. We ask that you provide at least 24 hours' notice.

  • Parents and athletes are encouraged to attend the initial coaching consultation. Parents can and will periodically communicate with coaches throughout the duration of an athlete's time with us.

  • You may cancel at any time. If you cancel prior to your first session, you will receive a complete 100% refund. If you cancel after your first session, you will receive a 50% refund of the pro-rated amount of your remaining sessions.

  • Our digital platform integrates Zoom for video sessions with your coach where you see each other and talk with each other in a virtual face-to-face environment.

  • For privacy and security purposes, sessions are not recorded.
