Carla Davila

MS

As a former competitive tennis player originating from Lima, Peru, I began my athletic journey at the age of six, eventually advancing to a collegiate career at Barry University where I contributed to two national championship wins. My passion for sport psychology originates from personal experience. Throughout my competitive years, I lacked the support of a sport psychologist, which inspired me to become that crucial ally for athletes. Witnessing the profound impact of mental skills on performance and well-being drives my dedication to this field. Academically, I earned an undergraduate degree in Sport, Exercise, and Performance Psychology with a minor in psychology, followed by a master's degree in the same discipline. During my master's program, I gained invaluable practical experience working extensively with the women's tennis team, delivering both individual and team sessions. I further honed my skills by conducting online sessions in English and Spanish, catering to diverse clients. Additionally, I completed a summer internship as a Mental Performance Coach at Evert Tennis Academy, facilitating group sessions for young athletes, aged 7 to 16. I am committed to empowering athletes through personalized mental coaching, ensuring they thrive both on and off the field.
