How It All Began
Michael Anderson, a former multi-sport college athlete, knew his son was a talented soccer player. He also saw in him some of the challenges he felt as a young athlete. At times he put too much focus on the negative, and expressed anger and frustration when things didn’t go as planned.
Hoping to help his son with what he felt was a key piece to success on the field, Mike went in search of a sports focused, mental performance coach. Not finding a good solution, Mike decided to use his entrepreneurial background to build one. He connected with soccer coach, DJ McMoil, who holds a Master’s in Sport Science and is working toward a doctorate in Sport and Performance Psychology.
They worked to develop an athlete-centric approach; 1-1 private coaching on a virtual platform, across all sports, delivered nationwide, with DJ’s expertise as the backbone. DJ worked with Mike’s son and the improvement in performance, attitude and enjoyment were almost instant. Many athletes have used ACG to build success on the field and in life and ACG continues to recruit amazing coaches, who align with our mission, to help continue the growth of the business into the future.
Tyler C., Tennis Athlete
“My time with ACG has directly benefited my overall performance. I learned how to take the good out of every shot on the tennis court. The program taught me how to learn from each shot, good or bad, and apply it towards improving my game.”
